MEETINGS & STRUCTURE

We typically have weekly meetings, Den meetings (approximately one hour, with the younger dens usually running between 30-45 minutes), one Pack meeting (45 minutes to one hour), and one parent meeting (one hour virtually) each month. Dens are grouped based on grade level and work on activities towards advancements. The Pack is made up of all the dens together and Pack meetings are where scouts receive their advancements for work completed during previous den meetings. The leadership meeting is held to plan and coordinate for upcoming meetings, and special events, and to conduct the business of the Pack.

Scouting is year-round, but the primary activity follows the school year calendar. During the summer months, we only have one Pack meeting and one monthly leadership meeting.

The Pack is run by the Pack Committee

• Includes all interested parents.

• Meets once a month (or more often if needed).

• Led by a Committee Chair.

• Committee provides leadership, finds meeting places, performs record keeping, manages Pack finances, orders badges, maintains Pack equipment, helps train leaders, recognizes leaders, and organizes field trips.

The Pack is owned by a Charter Organization

• Chartered Organizations include parent-school organizations, religious institutions, service clubs, and other organizations interested in youth.

• Chartered Organizations approve leadership, help secure a meeting place, and keep the Pack within sponsor’s and Boy Scout guidelines and policies.

• Chartered Organizations select a Chartered Organization Representative (a liaison between your Pack and your sponsor.)

UNIFORM

Each scout can purchase a  Pack t-shirt, which is considered the class B uniform. Class B uniforms are the primary uniform at den meetings. The class A uniform is the official blue or tan scout shirt detailed below. Class A uniforms are primarily worn at Pack meetings, field trips, and formal events. Class A uniforms can be purchased at the Scout Shop, located at 4295 S. Garnett Rd. in Tulsa. If costs limit a family's ability to purchase a class A uniform, notify a leader and resources are available to obtain one at a reduced cost.
